Celebs like the Kardashians live a fancy life right? They drive luxurious cars, live in gorgeous mansions and travel in private jets. But even the insane home of Kylie Jenner can't compete with the most expensive luxury home in not just Ontario, but all of Canada. So does that means there isn't much hope for the rest of us normal people?
This house looks like it should have been in Crazy Rich Asians. Canada's most expensive house is now selling for the very extravagant price of 59 million dollars. The house, located on Lake Ontario, previously belonged to Hugo Powell, a retired beer company executive. The beer business sure brings in cash eh?
The representatives of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada told the Toronto Star that to be able to afford the house, the buyer would need a net worth of over $200 million, and this results in a “very finite number” of people who could make an offer. Yeah, we gotta say that it's not too common for people to have 200 million dollar cash.
In comparison, one of the homes of "self-made billionaire" (LOL, good one Forbes) Kylie Jenner is currently worth around $12 million USD, equating to roughly $15.5 million CAD. The Lake Ontario home is worth 3.8 times that. And the house she sold last year in 2017 was worth $3.15 million USD (around $4 million CAD). That means this Canadian house was worth 14.75 times that.
The luxury Ontario mansion has a total of 42 parking spaces on a lot size of 9.89 ares. The main floor itself is already 16,200 square feet and the lot size is roughly 43,850 square feet– hide and seek must be fun in this place. There is also tons of facilities, such as an indoor pool, a media room/theater, a library, an elevator and more.
