Raptor Danny Green Is Holding A Fan Meet & Greet In Toronto

Celebrations of the Toronto Raptors phenomenal NBA Finals win are finally starting to come to a close, following a long weekend of hectic partying for many Canadians. That said, there is still one more chance to give a high-five to one of Canada’s beloved Raptors before they all take a well-deserved break for the summer. Raptors Danny Green is holding a meet and greet.

Shooting guard Daniel ‘Danny’ Green, of the Toronto Raptors NBA Final-winning team, will be meeting up with fans at the Square One Shopping Centre’s Sport Chek store, Mississauga, Thursday afternoon. Green will be there to meet with fans and to promote his new ‘basketball skills camp’ that he is hosting across Canada, with support from Sport Chek and Jumpstart. Green will be there to take photos, sign autographs and have a chat about the Raptors phenomenal NBA season.

Although the limited wristbands to meet Danny Green directly have now all been reserved, the store is still offering the unique opportunity for fans to participate in the Raptors experience as observers inside and outside the store. Fans will be able to see Green and have the opportunity to wave at the Raptors fan-favourite and be in the same room as him.

Wristbands were offered to the first 100 people who were in line Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 PM at the Square One Sport Chek in Mississauga. The wristbands allowed lucky fans full access to the Danny Green meet and greet that will take place Thursday, June 20, at the same Square One Sport Chek location. According to a fan on Twitter, over 100 people were already in line as early as 8:20 AM on Wednesday, despite the competition not opening until 3:30 PM.

The wristbands have no cash or exchange value in the store and were not able to be redeemed, exchanged or refunded for cash. The meet and greet wristbands were also only available to people over the age of 12 unless they were accompanied by their parent or guardian. Wristbands were limited to one band per person, to avoid fans taking unfairly large quantities.

In a tweet from his personal account, Danny Green said “Back in Toronto on Thursday! I’ll be hanging out at @sportchek Square One from 4:30 – 5:30. To secure your spot, grab your wristbands tomorrow at 4:00pm at the store in advance. Wristbands limited to the first 100 people. @pumahoops.” He followed up this tweet with a picture of himself holding a basketball with a Puma Hoops backdrop.

Although all of the wristbands to have direct interaction with Danny Green have already been allocated, anybody who wants to see and wave to the Raptors champion on Thursday should be at the store before 4:30 PM.

The full address of the meet and greet at the Sport Chek store at Square One Shopping Centre is 100 City Centre Dr. Mississauga, ON L5B 2C9. They recommend using Entrance 8 of the mall.
