You Can Party Underwater At Ripley's Aquarium's 19+ Halloween Bash In Toronto This Month
Let's be honest, there's some pretty scary stuff in the ocean (sharks, anyone?) So, it seems a natural fit to take that and add a unique twist to the scariest night of the year. Later this month, Toronto's Ripley Aquarium is bringing back its annual 19+ event which combines the creepiness of Halloween and the creatures of the deep.
Matthew Huddleston, marketing and communications coordinator for Ripley's, tells Narcity Dark Waters features "spooktacular" drinks at a number of cash bars, snacks, and music from DJs Lucie Tic and Cozmic Cat, all taking place in the depths of the popular aquarium.
Drink tickets are available for $8, and food tickets for $10. The entire aquarium will be decked out with Halloween-themed decorations, and there will also be a live Halloween-themed dive show.
The popular event returns on Friday, October 25, starting at 8 p.m. It wraps up at midnight, making it a perfect start to a night on the town in Toronto.
And, of course, with it being Halloween season, you can't forget your costume. A look at photos from last year's event shows some epic, hilarious and sometimes confusing costumes such as Pennywise, Darth Vader, Lady Gaga, Edward Scissorhands and even rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine. There's also a dude dressed as a bunch of grapes, for some reason.
While guests are encouraged to dress up, Huddleston says there is no official contest during the event.

Tickets are only $32 plus HST, and annual pass members can save 50% on admission, though there is a four-ticket limit on this savings offer.
We all know Ripley's is one of the biggest spots for both locals and tourists (especially families) to hit for a good time. But they've had a few events aimed at adult fun in 2019, including an Octo-berfest event at the end of September.
