Your travel bucket list is about to get a little longer. Did you know Sandbanks Provincial Park is home to the world's largest baymouth barrier dune?
The stunning natural wonder along Lake Ontario is 12-kilometres wide and was formed by glaciers 12,500 years ago.
Here, you can go on an easy 2.5-kilometre hike following the Sandbanks Dunes Trail, which will take you through the sandy landscape.
Off the main path, you can also find a 1-kilometre loop where there are no barriers blocking your view.
Then you can cool off by swimming in the bright blue water of Dunes Beach, which is just a few steps away.
