Scaffolding Collapse In Toronto Sends Multiple Workers To The Hospital

Toronto Paramedic Services is reporting that three men have been transported to the hospital following a scaffolding collapse at a downtown construction site. The site is located in the Fort York area near Bathurst Street and Lakeshore Blvd. West. The scaffolding fell onto Dan Leckie Way in the area. Two of the workers sustained serious injuries.

According to CBC, the incident happened shortly before 7:00 AM on Wednesday morning. The three workers fell from a platform, which was reportedly broken and collapsed. One of the workers injured broke his leg.

Ontario's Ministry of Labour will be investigating the incident, CBC Reports.

Not much else is known at this time, but Toronto Paramedics will likely provide an update. There are no known road closures or transit diversions in the area.
