Serge Ibaka Outfit At The Raptors Game Was Channelling Detective Vibes

If you had to pick the most fashionable member of the Toronto Raptors, who would you choose? If you’re thinking of anyone other than Serge Ibaka, you need to brush up on your Raptors gossip, my friend. Ibaka sent fans into a fashion-inspired tizzy during the team’s matchup against the Orlando Magic last night. The Raptors player rocked an outfit that was radiating with those 1920s British detective vibes while on the sidelines and it's not the first time he’s gone full-on high fashion.

The Congolese-Spanish basketball player, who has become known for his love of fashion, was seen channelling those Mountie vibes in a pre-game outfit back in October.

Ibaka was a sight to behold in a vibrant red jacket, flannel pants, and Mountie-style hat. The NBA star looked like what you’d get it if you put an RCMP officer on the cover of Vanity Fair. It was a lovely tribute to Canada.

However, this game the player took on a slightly different vibe. Dressed in a plaid blazer and detective-style hat, he looked like he had stepped right out of an old-fashioned move.

Of course, it didn’t take long for fans to weigh in on Serge’s new British digs on Twitter.

“That's that grown man look y’all know nothing about,” wrote one user about the outfit.

“Rumor has it Serge Ibaka will be in season 6 of peaky blinders,” wrote another, comparing him to the hit television show.

And that was just the tip of the iceberg. One user even stated that Ibaka had the most "sophisticated drip."

According to Sportsnet, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse told reporters on Wednesday that Ibaka could be ready to hit the court again as earlier as this weekend.

Ibaka has been out of commission since November 8th, 2019, due to a right ankle sprain.

The player limped off court during a game against the New Orleans Pelicans. He was later flown back to a Toronto rehab centre in the hopes of speeding up his recovery process.

The 30-year-old put up 14 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks during his last eight games with Toronto this season.

The Raptors will face off against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday at State Farm Arena.
