Update (May 16, 2:00 PM ET): Police confirm that the dog has been reunited with its owners after a Good Samaritan spotted it with two males along the Toronto Beaches boardwalk on Thursday, CP24 reports.

It is not an uncommon sight in Toronto to see dog owners leave their pets tied up outside while stopping in somewhere. It’s an everyday occurrence that usually goes off without a hitch; however, it's still a risk. For one dog owner in the east end, the risk came with consequences when their Siberian Husky was stolen outside of a Toronto Value Village.

Toronto Police Services are now asking for the public’s help in retrieving the stolen dog. According to police, the dog was reported missing on Tuesday night at around 5:30 PM. The dog, Charlie, a 10-year-old Siberian Husky mix, had been tied up outside of a store near Amroth and Danforth Avenue when two unknown men approached the dog. It was also reported that a third suspect, a woman, had been the one to actually untie Charlie's leash and leave the area on foot towards a Green P parking lot.

A description of Charlie has been released, describing the dog as a male Siberian Husky, weighing 100 pounds. Charlie has blue eyes, as well as black and white fur. Charlie is supposedly very friendly and quiet.

The first suspect is described as a white male with tanned skin. He is estimated to be about 30 years old, he has "buggy" eyes, long hair, and is missing a few teeth. He was spotted wearing narrow track at the time of the incident.

The second suspect is also a white male in his 30’s but is noted to be more heavy set with a round face and short brown hair. He was spotted wearing heavy-rimmed glasses at the time of the incident.

The third suspect is described as a white female who is around 30 years old. She is short with brown hair. She was last seen pushing a metal shopping cart with a floral print on the inside.

Anyone with information about the case is being asked to contact police at 416-808-5500, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).
