Canadian Singer Responds To The Backlash Of Her Anthem Performance At The Raptors Game (VIDEO)

The country singer sang O Canada at Game 3 of the NBA finals.

Last night, Game 3 of the NBA finals took place and it was a wild ride. Raptors fans were overjoyed when the team ended the night with a win. However, the game definitely wasn't free from its share of drama – with the singing of the Canadian anthem being a prime example. Several people took to the Internet to slam the performance. In light of the backlash, Tenille Arts is responding to her Raptors' game Canadian anthem performance. The singer is staying positive and standing behind her spin of O Canada

Tenille Arts is a Saskatchewan-born singer who got the chance to sing the Canadian national anthem at Game 3 of the NBA finals Wednesday night. She's a 25-year-old country singer.

She is now speaking up after the online outrage and angry tweets. Arts says she has "no regrets about putting her own spin" on the anthem, according to CBC News. The singer is also saying that many people told her that they loved her performance of O Canada

Tenille Arts did acknowledge that she knew there was some backlash to her rendition of the song, but she said that she accomplished her goal of singing the national anthem "with pride", CBC News reports.

There were several angry comments that surfaced on the Internet yesterday after the performance. As we all know, Twitter users do not hold back. 

Even non-basketball fans heard about the national anthem performance and had to give it a watch.

However, it's not all bad news. As Tenille Arts said, there are still people out there who liked her performance and there are positive tweets on Twitter. 

The Canadian national anthem performance was just one of the many things that happened at Game 3 that got people talking.

The Raptors posted a tweet before the game and the Internet was absolutely roasting them for making a mistake. The Warriors also shaded Drake by playing his diss track during the pregame. There was also some celebrity spottings that got fans excited, such as Beyonce and Jay-Z

Game 4 will be this Friday at 6 PM PT, and with Kevin Durant out for the game, fans are already convinced that the Raptors win is secured.
