There's a unique garden in Ontario that possesses the same otherworldly charm and wonder of Japan, and it's absolutely beautiful during this time of year.
Kariya Park is a little sanctuary tucked away in the heart of Mississauga. The park was opened in 1992 in dedication to Mississauga's sister city Kariya in Japan. It was designed with Japanese cultural elements in mind, and features classic Asian architecture, rhododendrons, gingko trees, sweetgum trees, and, of course, cherry blossoms.
The cherry blossoms in the GTA typically bloom between late April and early May, and full blooms usually last up to 21 days. In Kariya Park, the cherry blossoms have already bloomed, and it's a truly magical sight.
Make sure to visit the Kariya Park cherry blossoms soon before they disappear!
