If you don’t have any NYE plans (and let’s face it, we’re all late planners), then mark your calendars because there is an epic party in Montreal that you are not going to want to miss this year.
From December 20 to 31, Merry Montreal, a not-for-profit organization will be hosting a number of free activities for Montrealers and tourists all leading up to their epic New Year’s Eve which is also known as Canada’s biggest outdoor NYE party that hosts more than 100,000 people each year!
The best part? The party is 100% FREE. Yup, you read that right… FREE!
There’s no sense in paying $100+ to attend yet another crappy bar on NYE where everyone knows is not THAT fun. Instead, why not try something new and take a road trip to Montreal with some friends or your significant other and make a full trip out of it? You’ll be dying to come back year after year because after all, this IS Canada’s biggest NYE party.
Whether you come with a group of friends or with your loved one, Merry Montreal will be a night to remember. Not only is the event conveniently located in the Old Port of Montreal on Jacques-Cartier Pier, but it also features an outdoor stage with many of Quebec’s most talked about artists such as Hubert Lenoir, Émile Bilodeau, Lydia Képinski, Andréanne A. Malette, a live DJ and many more!
The party will also feature a midnight countdown and a massive fireworks show that is truly worth the drive to Montreal!
So are you convinced yet? Merry Montreal kicks off at 7 PM with a live DJ and will be in full effect until 2 AM. There will also be numerous food trucks (poutine, hello!) and bars to enjoy the night fully! Just remember to dress warmly because this is an outdoors party after all!
