This 2.3km Trail Will Lead You To Massive Hidden Caves In Ontario

I think we can all agree that we're incredibly lucky to call the province of Ontario our home. Ontario is one of the best provinces in all of Canada because it has so much to see and do! We have more than one major city, almost too many lakes to count, sandy beaches to lounge on, gorgeous parks to explore and quaint towns to adore.

It's almost impossible to be bored living in Ontario as long as you make some effort to go out and appreciate it. Summer is the perfect time to get out of your bubble and experience all the beautiful nature that this province has to offer!

One spot you should absolutely add to your summer adventure bucket list is this unreal cave trail that leads you to the massive Singhampton Caves!

The 2.3 km Singhmapton Caves Trail is located in the heart of the Nottawasaga Lookout Provincial Nature Reserve near Collingwood, Ontario. It's about a 1 hr 45 min drive from Toronto, 5.5 hr drive from Ottawa, 4 hr drive from Kingston and 2 hr 50 min drive from London.

The trail is moderately difficult but it will provide you with the most breathtaking views of these natural, moss-covered caves. The trail will lead you through the centre of the caves at parts and will finish with a climb up the cave's edge to reach the end of the loop.

This isn't your average hike through the forest though, with trails leading through the dark and mysterious crevices of the caves and ending with an intense climb! If you read reviews of this hike on All Trails you'll find people raving about the beauty all around and calming effects the caves have.

There's tons of nature and wildlife to see while you're hiking here including stunning mosses, wild flowers, birds and so much more. This hike is doable for children not too young and even dogs if they can climb!
