There's one epic train ride ventures deep into the heart of the Canadian wilderness. The Agawa Canyon Tour Train is one of the most popular train tours in North America, travelling 114 miles north of Sault Ste. Marie. Passengers will be treated to some of the most beautiful sights in the province, including some of the iconic Canadian landscapes that inspired the legendary artists of the Group of Seven.

The highlight of the trip is when the train descends 500 feet to the floor of the Agawa Canyon. The train makes a stop for an hour and a half somewhere on the canyon floor to give passengers the opportunity to explore the area's wilderness park, which is full of beautiful hiking trails, rivers and waterfalls.

The train itself is a work of art, with large windows, GPS-triggered commentary (in 5 languages) and high-definition flat screen monitors. During the ride, passengers will learn of the rich history of the region, from legendary stories of the Ojibway to the exciting escapades of fur traders and explorers.

Tickets for a one-day train ride sell for $91.15 per person, which includes the stopover at the canyon. There are 2-night or 3-night packages available as well starting at just $176, and each includes a train ticket, accommodations in Sault Ste. Marie, an OLG Casino Package and more.
