This Adorable Town Near Ontario Is Transforming Into Stars Hollow From Gilmore Girls This Fall

If you're reading this right now, chances are you're a die-hard Gilmore Girls fan like me. You've watched all the seasons multiple times (no judgment here) and went crazy when they released the reunion episodes. Sure, Lorelai and Rory have their issues, but we continued to love them through every single episode of the show.
Stars Hollow was one of those towns that could only exist in a TV show because it was full of quirky characters and every season was like something out of a storybook. Fall was full of stunning foliage, there were pumpkins and decorations everywhere you looked and people went hard for Halloween. Winter wasn't any different either, Stars Hollow transformed into a literal snow globe each year.
If you always wished you could experience this unique and magical town in real life, now you can! The show's creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino based Stars Hollow after a real life town in New England and this fall they're hosting a Gilmore Girls Festival to celebrate it.
The Gilmore Girls Fan Fest is a festival created by fans for the fans! It will be taking place in Kent, Connecticut on October 19th-21st this year. While this location may seem a little bit far in your mind, it's actually not that long of a trek! It's about a 7.5 hour drive from Toronto, a 6.5 hour drive from Ottawa, 5 hour 45 min drive from Kingston and an 8 hour drive from London!
Fall in New England is known for being one of the most scenic and stunning places to view the fall colours so it's the perfect place to host this festival! The small town of Kent has everything Stars Hollow had including a gazebo, a diner, an antique shop, a dance studio, an inn and so much more!
If you thought this festival couldn't get any better, you'd be wrong! They actually have some of the real cast from Gilmore Girls showing up! You can chat with Mrs. Kim, Zach, Lulu, Miss Patty and more.
While the official schedule for this weekend long festival hasn't been released yet, they already have tickets on sale! A weekend long pass to the event will cost $250 and include all your activities, panels, tastings, a free t-shirt and more!
