Torontonians need to make note of a special and delicious dish in Japanese cuisine: TORCHED SUSHI. At KAKA, they serve a variety of pressed torched sushi which the Japanese call abiri nigiri. Some of their torched speciailties include: salmon with KAKA's special made in-house 'serrano pepper' sauce, beef with red wine soy glaze, butterfish, ebi, and even torched duck! Talk about yum.

This is KAKA's second location that opened in the GTA, with their first restaurant in Markham. KAKA's initial restaurant success in Markham definitely helped the added success of their second opening. The Markham-based sushi spot became popular by charging $34.99 for unlimited sushi and seafood, including high-grade thick-cut sashimi, tataki plated with flower petals and of course, flaming aburi nigiri.

KAKA's kitchen also uses some seriously upscale ingredients like foie gras, gold dust and uni for their maki rolls. Of course, their AYCE menu also includes the usual suspects: gyoza, tempura, and skewers.
