This Cross-Canada Trip Will Take You To Every Province In The Country By Plane

It's no secret that travelling within Canada is expensive. In fact, the sad reality Canadians face is that domestic flights are generally more expensive than international flights. However, that doesn't mean it's entirely impossible to go on a cross-country trip by air. With an open mind and a willingness to spend the money, travelling across Canada via plane can not only be possible, but also relatively affordable.

As exciting as plane-hopping across Canada may sound, there are a couple of considerations one must take before embarking on such a journey. For this particular trip, here are some things you must keep in mind:

  • You will need to set aside approximately 20 days in September for this trip - from Friday, Sept 1 to Wednesday, Sept 20.
  • You will need to save approximately $2,000 to cover all of the one-way flights. This price does not include the following:
    • The one-way flight from your home city to the first city on this trip (Vancouver, BC)
    • The one-way return flight from the last city on this trip (St. John's, NL) to your home city
    • Additional airline and luggage fees
    • Spending money for food and accommodations on the trip.
  • To highlight the affordability of this trip, consider that round trip tickets to various places in Europe (like Greece) can cost almost the same amount, on average.
  • Flight prices listed for this trip may change depending on when you decide to book. The earlier you book, the more accurate the prices displayed in this article will be.
  • A maxiumum of 3 days will be spent in each city, including travel time. Some layovers may also land you in cities previously visited.
