Are you feeling adventurous? Thrill seekers will enjoy the unique experience of tree trekking, which involves meandering through a series of obstacles set high up in the sky-reaching trees of a forest.
In Ontario, Treetop Trekking is the authority on such adventures. They currently manage treetop parks in six locations across the province: Barrie, Ganaraska, Huntsville, Brampton, Stouffville and Bruce Mill. The obstacle courses at each park welcome all skill levels, from beginners to more advanced climbers.
Their main package, the Zip Line Aerial Game Treks, is a three-hour course that tests even the most athletic climbers. Participants will get the chance to live out their Tarzan fantasies by climbing ladders, skipping on logs, crossing suspension bridges, swinging on ropes and zooming down ziplines.
There are also several other fun outdoor activities offered at each park, from wildlife observation hikes to GPS treasure hunting in the deep forest.
The cost of the three-hour trek is $59.99, with group discounts available as well. Adding packages to the trek could cost an additional $14.99 each.
