This Go-Kart Track In Ontario Is The Longest In Canada And It's Like Mario Kart In Real Life

Last year, it was announced that Niagara Falls will be opening a Mario Kart-style go kart track this coming spring. The track would be the first of its kind in Canada, featuring a multi-level spiral and epic downhill that will elevate the go-karting experience to new heights.

But did you know that Canada is home to another epic go-kart track? The Toronto Mini-Indy at Etobicoke’s Centennial Park is the longest track in the country, boasting an epic 2-km long meandering roadway.

Each lap takes 3 minutes to complete, which means you can really appreciate the track in its entirety. Even more, the track offers different type of go-karts, some of which require the rider to have a driver’s licence:

  • Naskarts – Minimum G2 class licence required (9hp engine with rack and pinion steering).
  • Adult karts – Age 14 and up, with a minimum height of 54 inches.
  • Junior karts – Age 10 and 54 inches tall – maximum 64 inches.
  • Double Riders – Free passenger, age 5-9 only. *Drivers must have their full G license*

This year, the track will reopen in March and will run through April. Riders must be at least 10 years or older and 54 inches to ride alone. One lap costs $6 per rider, while 4 laps are $22. You could also get a 7-lap wristband for $28, which is their best deal.

The track is also in the same area as an arcade, batting cages, beach volleyball courts and a mini-golf course, so if you’re going with a group you can opt for a complete entertainment package.
