This Ontario Town Will Be Transformed Into A Spectacular "City Of Lights" For The Holidays

As the colder weather begins to show, we are subtly reminded that the holiday season is on its way. Toronto is always a beautiful place for the holidays - its streets are lined with decorated trees, Christmas music fills the air and festive window displays are set up all over the city.

But there's one place in Ontario that does a particularly amazing job at getting into the holiday spirit. Simcoe is a town in Norfolk County, which is just two hours away from Toronto. Every year during the holidays, the town participates in an event called the Simcoe Panorama, where people in the community ornate the town with thousands of beautiful lights and gorgeous displays, transforming it into the total winter wonderland.

This year, opening night is on November 26 and the lights are kept on every evening until the new year. Several festive activities are offered throughout the holiday season, including horse-drawn trolley rides and town tours. A river that cuts through the town is also filled with special holiday-themed floats that make their way from one end of the town to the other. It's a truly magical experience.

Make sure to visit Simcoe this holiday season! See more photos here.
