This Ontario Town Will Transform Its Downtown Into A Massive Snow Tubing Hill

Get your snow pants ready - an Ontario town is converting itself into the ultimate winter playground and you're invited.

Bracebridge, Ontario is holding a Fire & Ice Festival in the new year in honour of winter. The main attraction of the event is its massive tubing hill, which is made by filling its downtown area with over 50 truckloads of packing snow!

Locals and guests are encouraged to bring their snow tubes so they can experience the glory of snow tubing in a unique setting.

The festival will also feature fun-filled events like a pancake breakfast at the local fire station, ice skating in a winter village, road hockey tournaments, marshmellow roasting over outdoor fire pits, winter magic shows, fire displays, meet and greets with Elsa and Anna from Frozen, ice carving, scavenger hunts and much more. A full list of activities can be found here.

The Fire & Ice Festival will return for its second time on January 27, 2018. Interested participants will need to purchase a souvenir button to access all of the activities and experiences during the festival. Souvenir buttons are $5 per adult and $3 per child.
