Tucked away in the Polish neighbourhood of Roncesvalles in Toronto is a specialty bar dedicated to all things sangria. If you're a punch lover, this is definitely the spot for you.
Sangria Lounge serves multiple varieties of the Spanish drink, each with a different mix of fruit and liquor. Red, white, peach, lime and warm sangrias are its main offerings, and they're all worth trying:
Red Sangria - Cranberry juice, orange juice, ginger ale, mixed fresh fruit and red wine
White Sangria - Orange juice, apple juice, ginger ale, mixed fresh fruit and white wine
Peach Sangria - Peace juice, cranberry juice, ginger ale, mixed fresh fruit and red or white wine
Lime Sangria - Lime juice, orange juice, ginger ale, mixed fresh fruit and red or white wine.
Warm Sangria - heated red wine, juices, spices, fruits, cinnamon stick
Pints cost $5.50 each, while pitchers are $15.75. Each of the sangria options can be enhanced with one of Grand Marnier, Triple Sec, Peach Schnapps, Melon or Brandy for an additional $2.95.
Those who aren't fan of fruity booze will also appreciate the bar's cheap menu of draft beers, bottles, shots, bombs, wines an warm cocktails.
