The Toronto Christmas Market Is Officially Opening This Week
The wait is almost over! One of Toronto's most anticipated holiday events is opening and it's brimming with Christmas spirit. The Distillery District will soon be transformed into a festive village filled with heart-warming installations, vendors, and food. With kiosks of mulled wine, steamy hot chocolate, tons of twinkling lights, and a towering tree, this is one event that's not to be missed. It's time to get festive because the Toronto Christmas Market opening day is November 14 and we can barely contain our excitement.
The market is officially opening on Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 4 p.m, and will run until Sunday, December 22, 2019. The festivities will kick off with a tree lighting ceremony and a performance by one of Canada's top musicians.
Watch the massive 50ft tree burst into light. The branches will be decked out in 40,000 lights, 800 ornaments, and 1 km of ribbon.
Visit the beloved 'Heart of Christmas', a giant heart-shaped sculpture perfect for snapping photos with loved ones or friends.
Wander into Santa's house to glimpse him and his elves singing some classic holiday favourites. Explore the historic streets of the Distillery District and take in the many ornaments and festive installations the market has to offer.
No market is complete without a tasty treat, and you can indulge in some delicious goodies like decadent hot chocolate from Cacao 70, authentic waffles from Wafel Bar, and sweet cones from Eva's Original Chimneys.

The market is free to visit during the week until 6 p.m. on Fridays. Weekend admission ranges from $8 - $30. Tickets are available to purchase in advance online.
