The OVO Toronto Sale Opening Lineups Were Ridiculous On Wednesday (VIDEOS)

The 6ix seems to love to stand and wait for something, no matter what season we're in. But it looks like little compares to the Toronto OVO sale lineups that were on show on February 5 as the first day of the five-day mega clothing warehouse sale kicked off. The line was so long that people had wrapped around the building just to be able to purchase gear on the low.

From February 5 to February 9, Drake fans and OVO aficionados alike are able to buy items from his clothing brand for up to 80% off the regular prices.

For streetwear and/or Drizzy enthusiasts, it's a total dream come true!

The doors to the warehouse sale opened for the first time at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 5 at the International Centre in Mississauga.

And, soon afterwards, a video was shared on social media showing eager customers lining up to be allowed entry.

And though the doors opened at 10, some people appear to have been there much earlier than that.

Shakir Mahmood was one of the shoppers who loitered for ages before ultimately deciding to cut his losses on the never-ending line ahead. 

Mahmood shared a two-minute video onto YouTube to prove how crazy long the wait time truly was.

Narcity contacted Mahmood and he shared that he believes more than 800 people arrived to shop on the first day of the sale.

"I was lined up but I realized the lineup was too huge so I just left," Mahmood told Narcity.

"One of my friends came at around 8:30 a.m. and said there was already a lineup."

Mahmood himself arrived around 10:15. He soon realized leaving the line might be a better use of his time.

And Mahmood wasn't the only one thrown by just how high the demand is for cut-price gear. At least, judging from reports on social media.

"I’m lined up outside International Centre for this OVO Warehouse Sale. Still another 1hr until opening and there’s about a thousand people. Lmao," reads one tweet.

Meanwhile, Global News' Arti Patel reported at 1:28 p.m., getting on for three hours after doors opened, that her cousin waited in line all morning just to find another queue when she finally got through the door.

Incredibly, at 3:50 p.m., Patel shared that her cousin was still at the warehouse sale after waiting for four hours in total.

Patel did also tweet a photo of some of the bargains that are on offer.

But, then, clothing sales aren't the only things Torontonians line up for.

The 6ix public loves to wait in line for a new or limited-edition experience.

When Chick-fil-A first opened at Yorkdale Mall, for example, the lineups in the north end were so long that people had to wait in separate queues just to order food.

Then there was the Oreo cookie pop-up in Union Station, where people couldn't seem to wait to get their hands on a custom creation.

The OVO warehouse sale in Mississauga runs until Sunday, February 9. It is open from 10 a.m until 9 p.m. through Saturday, but shuts up shop for good at 7 p.m. on Sunday.

That's assuming there's still stock left by then.
