Toronto Police Are Hiring New Officers With No Previous Experience And The Salary is $62,000

If you have been interested in joining the local police force, this may be your opportunity. The Toronto Police Services is now hiring new Police Cadets-in-Training and the salary starts at $62,000. Plus, all the education you need to apply is your high-school diploma.

That's right, the Toronto Police are now looking for full-time cadets in a variety of locations around the Toronto area, with no previous experience required. Some of the key responsibilities that you will be undertaking in the day to day of the job would be conducting investigations, attending court, and providing support after traumatizing incidents.

Of course, while the only education requirement is your secondary school diploma or it's equivalent, there are still other requirements that you need to meet before you can apply for this job.

The Toronto Police are stating that those who apply must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada and at least18 years old. They must also be able to pass security clearance and background investigations in education, employment, personal history, credit, and reference checks.

Of course, they are also looking for applicants who are both physically and mentally fit to perform the everyday tasks of an officer. This includes being able to protect yourself and have regard to your own safety and the safety of those who are around you.

There are also some Licence and Certification Requirements that need to be met before you apply. Those who are applying should have a valid "G" driver's license. They should also have both their Ontario Association of Chiefs of Police Certificate of Results (a series of six different police tests), as well as the Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certificates.

The Toronto Police also state that are looking for someone who is able to promote positive behaviours and core beliefs that they expect every officer to bring to the team, regardless of their ranking.

Some of these core competencies include being solution-focused, a leader, inspiring, being emotionally intelligent and being held accountable to deliver results.

While these are the only requirements for the position, as outlined by Toronto Police, some have pointed out that the police application process can be long, rigorous and competitive, and that any additional experience or education would be an obvious asset as well.

If this job posting sounds perfect for you, then you can view the full job posting and apply here.

If you are selected for further consideration, you will hear back from the Toronto Police Services via e-mail. If hired, you would be eligible to make $62,000 a year.
