As millennials, we live in the age of nostalgia. Our films are mostly remakes, our favourite shows take place in the past, and we coined the term “throwback Thursday”. I think it’s safe to say we enjoy a blast from the past, and we're not the only ones. The Toronto Raptors may also be looking to dip into those old school feels with their court design this season.

According to Yahoo Sports, the NBA Finals Champions might be returning to their vintage purple and red scheme for their upcoming 2019-2020 season. A “Classic Edition Court” design leaked on Reddit this Wednesday, featuring a court that looks almost identical to the one the Raptors played on during their first couple of years in the NBA.

Ah, remember those days? When everyone thought we were a joke franchise and that we would never become champions? It’s been a long way to the top, and maybe now is the perfect time to take a trip down memory lane. Clearly, our players and global ambassador still love to rock the vintage logo.

The throwback design is fresh and full of the Raptors signature claw marks. The marks work diagonally into the centre court insignia, which features the franchise's trademark dinosaur logo. Here's how fans are reacting to it so far:

It’s worth noting that the design has yet to be confirmed by the team or the NBA. Only time will tell if they plan to move forward with the idea. Here’s hoping that we get to see Lowry and Siakam suit up in purple next season.
