If you thought hidden treasure was for pirate maps only, think again. Toronto has a secret gold mine tucked away in the city, and you have the chance to search for it. The First-To-Find Toronto scavenger hunt is beginning this September and the first team to solve all the puzzles will receive a $25,000 prize!
The month-long event, called First-To-Find, is an immersive hunt that seeks to challenge participants by working in teams to solve puzzles. The event also encourages people to explore some of Toronto's lesser-known destinations, creating a new appreciation of the city. The hunt begins on Sept. 21, 2019, so it's time to put your thinking cap on!
While Toronto also has smaller-scale scavenger hunt activities, this event will take you on a grand tour of major and secret Toronto locations. The scavenger hunt is open to all ages. You can participate solo, as a couple, with a group of friends, or as a family.
The clues will take you through all sorts of unique areas around Toronto. The series of riddles and clues will eventually lead you to a hidden message with instructions on how to claim the $25,000 grand prize.
In order to participate, you must register on the event website. The first clue is already awaiting you!
After solving the first one, you can buy the entire set of clues for $39.99 per person. Included will be five main clues and a sixth final puzzle that will require answers from all five prior clues.
The clues will get progressively more difficult, so make sure you choose a savvy team. The hunt is wheelchair accessible and welcomes all participants.
