Toronto To Be Hit With 30-Degree Heat All Week

Hope you’re not weary of the heat yet, Toronto — we can expect more hot days ahead for the city, according to a new 7-day forecast by The Weather Network.

Temperatures will hover around the 26 C range all week, with the humidity making it feel closer to the low- to mid-30s. Thursday will be the hottest day, with a high of 28 C and a ‘real feel’ temperature of 35 C.

Despite the heat, the city can also expect a couple bouts of rain on various days, including Wednesday, Saturday and Monday. The latter two days are predicted to have the highest chance of showers with a predicted P.O.P of 60% for both.

No record-breaking heat just yet

Though Toronto has seen several hot days this summer so far, no heat records have been broken yet. Mark Schuster, a meteorologist for Environment Canada, reports that the city has seen 23 days of 30-degree temperatures so far: three in May, five in June, 12 in July and three in August so far.

"If you can, try to minimize your time outdoors, particularly between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., which are usually the hottest hours of the day," he said.

Schuster also recommended to keep cool in air-conditioned places as much as possible, and to use sunscreen and drink plenty of water if you must be outside.
