It looks like Toronto weather could be getting a taste of spring this weekend. Yes, despite the wet, snowy mess that greeted us earlier this week, it is going to be nothing but sunshine and warmth, according to The Weather Network. In fact, it's going to be so warm and sunny that we can expect the same temperatures as our costal friends in Vancouver.

While you don't want to go start planning a trip to the beach just yet, the 6ix will be seeing temperatures reaching up into the high single digits throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday will see temperatures of 5 C throughout the day, while Torontonians will be greeted with a sunny 8 C on Sunday.

However, you don't want to start celebrating too early, as the rest of the week doesn't look nearly as nice.

Thursday is going to be miserably cold, with temperatures in the GTA expected to drop as low -10 C with the windchill. So, you're going to want to stay bundled up.

Snow is also expected throughout Thursday.

"At times, these bands will bring brief bursts of heavier snow into the GTA, but just with a dusting to 2 cm of accumulation expected," said Weather Network meteorologist Dr. Doug Gillham.

Thankfully, all that cold weather nonsense is supposed to fade away by Friday, with temperatures set to "rebound tremendously."

Lucky for us, those warm temperatures are set to hold steady through the weekend, which is nothing short of a miracle.

"We'll be seeing our longest stretch of dry weather so far this winter as conditions look to remain calm from Friday right through next Tuesday," says meteorologist Tyler Hamilton.

"This will be a gorgeous weekend, especially by winter standards," he added.

Ontario is scheduled to warm up so much this weekend that the province and Vancouver will practically be the same temperature, with Saturday facing highs of 6 C and Sunday sitting at 5 C.

Not too shabby, especially when you consider that B.C. holds many top spots for the warmest place in Canada.

Sadly, despite the early taste of spring-like weather, the season won't be coming early this year.

We are actually going to be thrust back into winter next week, so enjoy the weekend while it lasts.
