Toronto Will Finally Get That Super Warm Day We've Been Dreaming Of This Weekend

But it'll be miserable again by next week.
Toronto Will Finally Get That Super Warm Day We've Been Dreaming Of This Weekend

Spring has sprung! Or it's at least back for a bit, or something. April's been a pretty cold month for Toronto, and some warmth would go a long way. Well, it seems like May is going to get off to a toasty start if the Toronto weekend weather is anything to judge by.

It turns out that after all the chilly temperatures, rain, and even fist-sized hail we've seen in various regions of Ontario over the last few weeks, the first weekend of May is likely to reach around 20 C in the 6ix.

What a perfect way to welcome in a new month.

According to The Weather Network, for the most part of the week, the Toronto area is expected to be hit with a wave of rainfall up until Friday, May 1.

However, a jump into the weekend from the week's low temperatures is eagerly waiting.

And, while it's not going to last long at all, the warmth is going to align perfectly with the weekend. On Sunday, May 3, the city will feel a high of at least 18 degrees and a low of seven, according to Environment Canada.

On Saturday, a mix of sun and clouds is expected with a high of 17C. Sunday gets even better with a high of 18 degrees and an even lower chance of any rain spoiling the day.

According to Environment Canada, the temperatures expected for the first weekend of May in 2020 are significantly higher than the average mark for this date.

Usually, you'd expect it to be around 15 or 16C on May 2-3, per EC data.

As for getting a good dosage of sunlight, you'll finally be able to work on that tan! Well, if you have a garden or a balcony, that is.

On Sunday, you can expect up to 11 hours of vitamin D weather peeping through your window.

In fact, it sounds like pretty much ideal park weather.

That's a bit of a shame, as Ontario is keeping all provincial parks closed until the end of May, per CTV News.

In Toronto, bylaw enforcement officers will be out yet again to catch people who are not social distancing properly.

After all, they had a field day last Saturday as residents ignored health advice in order to enjoy their weekends.

So, enjoy the sunlight and the warmth this weekend, but not too much. Per both TWN and EC, by the middle of next week, temperatures will be back to single digits again.
