Time to bring out your skates and practise your dance moves because the annual DJ Skate Nights event is back at Natrel Rink at the Harbourfront Centre. Whether you're going with friends or on a cute date night, this DJ skate party is well worth a visit this winter. Not only can you glide across the ice, but you can join a huge neon party.
Every Saturday night from December 14, 2019, to February 15, 2020, you can join in on the skating fun and jam to some tunes all at once.
The best part of all this, aside from the explosion of colour at this rink-turned-nightclub, is that admission is absolutely free.
So, you can bring whoever you like and skate the night away from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
With a long list of DJs ready to bring some heat into the winter season, this isn't your average skating experience.
What can you expect to hear?
A wide variety of genres will be played, from soca to pop. So, there's a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy.
If you don't happen to have any skates, you're in luck. You can rent some out and even helmets while you're out on the rink. Just make sure to bring your I.D. and come ahead of time since they get rented out pretty quickly.
Student pricing is available for rentals, so it's time to put down your books and lace-up for some fun.
No plans for New Year's Eve? Head on down to the skating rink where you can join the Harbourfront Centre as they countdown to 2020.
Adult skate rental pricing for two-hour slots goes for $13. It's $7 for a helmet, and if you need both, the combined price is $16.
Starting on December 1, you can also rent your skates ahead of time in order to secure your pair.
If you work up an appetite, there are many food spots in the harbour area that are easily accessible.
Spots like Boxcar Social are close enough for you to refuel, recharge, and get back out there.
The DJ lineup has yet to be announced so make sure to keep an eye out and plan ahead.
