We can all agree that Italy is home to some of the best food in the world. Who doesn't love all those sinfully carb-filled plates of pizza, pasta, and bread? You no longer need to hop on a plane to enjoy these delicious foods, you can soon get them right here in Toronto! Toronto's Italian grocery store Eataly is opening in Toronto this fall and it's a food-lovers paradise.
The massive, 50,000 square foot complex will be Canada's very first Eataly location. With stores in places such as Los Angeles, New York, and Boston, we can't wait to give this lavish Toronto location a try.
Eataly first began in, you guessed it, Italy, in the town of Torino. It started out as a place for people to gather and learn about food, enjoy dishes, and indulge in fine Italian goods. The complex now has locations in over 37 locations around the world and is an authentic experience of all things Italy.
The Toronto location will stand a towering three levels and will include a fresh market, grocery store, four restaurants, and six cafes and bars. The eateries will feature stunning views and cherished Italian classics like Neapolitan pizza.
You can shop for the same ingredients used by the chefs in the grocery store and marketplace. You'll even have the chance to pop by a class to watch Italian bread being made, or participate in a cooking lesson!
The Toronto flagship will open in the Yorkville District's Manulife Centre sometime this season. The luxury store is hiring multiple positions, so if being surrounded by Italian food all day sounds like your dream job, go ahead and apply here!
Keep an eye out for opening dates, because you don't want to miss out on this incredible Italian food wonderland!
