It's the middle of the week, and your paper bag lunch may be looking less and less appealing. The good news is, today you can avoid another PB&J sandwich and treat yourself to a meal out for super cheap. A new vegan restaurant is officially opening in the city, and they're offering some delicious bowls at a low price. Toronto's Kupfert & Kim's cheap meals will only cost you a toonie today.
The plant-based, quick-serve restaurant has just launched a new location at Yonge and Eglington.
To celebrate the opening, customers can get their hands on some of the most popular bowls for only $2 today.
The offer runs from 11 a.m to 2 p.m, just in time for lunch. The dishes usually range from around $13 - $17, so the $2 charge is a massive discount.
All proceeds from these bowls will be donated to WWF Australia to assist with emergency animal rescue efforts.
The first 30 customers between 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. will also receive a free Village Juicery shot.
Some of the bowls being offered include the Oaxaca, Cauliflower Tahini, Almond Lime.
The Oaxaca is loaded with brown rice, black beans, kale, tortilla chips, guacamole, cashew cream and more.
You can indulge in tofu, bok choy, roasted mushroom, and cashews in the Almond Lime bowl.
The Cauliflower Tahini features hummus, quinoa, roasted cauliflower, cabbage, beets, mint, and more.
The location will offer a few new menu items as well. Stop by to try the chorizo lettuce cups, pancakes, savoury waffles, and lasagna.
The space is definitely worth checking out, not just for the food but for the dreamy decor.
The mosaic floor tiles, plush banquette seating, and hanging plants will make you want to relax inside for the rest of the day.
If you're looking for other spots to get a super cheap lunch, you can visit these places around the city.
You can also grab a half-priced pizza at Dominos this week for more delicious savings.
