This week, Toronto bars, restaurants and other services shut their doors to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Many local businesses are now unable to operate, but this cocktail bar has come up with a solution. Given the high demand for food delivery, the establishment has transformed into a temporary grocery store that will bring boxes of food to your home. Toronto's Mother Cocktail bar will deliver local food to your door.
With many restaurants offering food delivery, this cocktail bar has taken things to the next level and transformed into a temporary grocery store.
Mother Cocktail Bar has collaborated with Ration Food Lab to create a unique project that will both support businesses and help distribute supplies.
The venue offers "pantry boxes" filled with high-quality goods from local chefs and farms.
"...we want to be able to help and support each other's families and business to stay alive and healthy," the cocktail bar posted on their website.
"The reason we are doing this at this time is because we want to show support and love to our communities and offer the services needed. We also honestly need your support!"
You can shop for fresh products and more from their online store. Items include their freshly baked sourdough bread, eggs, yogurt, house-made kombucha, and more.
You can pick up your items at the store, or have them brought to your home.
You can email Mother to set up a pick-up time if you are collecting your items at the store.
Delivery is offered on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Customers are asked to keep their purchases at a $40 minimum, or a service fee may apply.
Orders of $100 or more qualify for free shipping.
There are several other online grocery stores that will deliver to the Toronto area as well, so you can keep isolated while staying full.
