Toronto Just Got A New Dating App Where You Only Get To Video Chat For 6 Minutes

However, if you have found yourself stuck in a rut, Toronto's Teleport dating app lets you virtually date from the comfort of your own home.

Teleport is the latest virtual dating program that allows members to connect face-to-face.
The Toronto-based platform is all about matching people, not profiles.
Officially launching April 15, the program allows you to meet a handful of people over live video, so you can see if you have a spark or not.
"We believe that you know instantly who you like," the brand's Facebook page states. "It’s obvious when you click with someone, but you need to see each other’s eyes, smiles and warmth. You need to be face-to-face."
You can meet people through a series of live video matchmaking events, where you'll get to participate in several six-minute video chats with other members.
If you felt a spark with someone during your chat, you can 'like' them over the app and see if you get a match.
Founder Chad Goodman explained to Narcity that texting and swiping have caused people to lose touch with reality. Live video is a way of bringing us back to our roots.
Teleport is available across twenty-one countries, so you don't have to be in Toronto in order to use it.
You can create a profile and request to join public events on the platform. Requests must be approved by the host.
Many meetings are location-based, and some have a special theme, such as "gym fanatics" or "travel lovers", for example.
There is a charge to participate in events, in order to encourage only those who are serious about meeting new people to join in.
