Toronto's Van Gogh Exhibit Is Coming This Spring & It Looks Incredible

Get ready for Toronto's next big exhibit, art fans. The work of Vincent Van Gogh will be coming to the city in a huge way this spring. Toronto's Van Gogh exhibit will be housed in a 5 storey, 600,000 cubic feet warehouse and will bring the works of the famous artist to life. If you're a fan of "Starry Night," then you can wander through the glowing stars at this new exhibit.

The event starts on May 1, 2020, and will take place at 1 Yonge St., right by the waterfront. The entire set will include the works of Van Gogh, which will be blown up to epic proportions.

Each brushstroke will be highlighted and easy to see thanks to the giant projections that will be splattered throughout the warehouse. According to its website, the collection will include sunny landscapes, still life, night scenes, and portraits. The installation will include works such as "The Potato Eaters," "Starry Night," "Sunflowers," and "The Bedroom." 

According to the website, the exhibit will allow you to "experience the organic landscapes of Van Gogh’s imagination, and ride the rollercoaster of Van Gogh’s descent into madness."The exhibit will be put on by the same people who created the "Atelier des Lumières" exhibit in Paris. 

It may be a few months away, but tickets go on sale this Friday and are going for $39.99. You can buy tickets for the month of May or June which will allow you the flexibility to attend any day or time during the month that you buy them for. 

You can also grab "timed tickets" for $34.99, but you are limited to entering an hour-long timeslot to enjoy the installation.

Come and get lost in a mesmerizing digital installation of one of the most celebrated painters in history. Artistic Director Massimiliano Siccardi will be curating the whole thing, along with composer Luca Longobardi.
