In the past two days, Toronto Police have released two missing person reports for two Toronto teens who have gone missing on the same road. Police have stated that they are concerned for both of the teens' safety, yet have not stated any direct link between these two cases. Police are asking for the publics help in locating the two girls.
On May 4, Toronto Police released a statement asking for the public's assistance after 14-year-old Shawntaya MacKenzie went missing. She was last seen on Friday, May 3 in the McCowan Road and Finch Avenue East area at around 8:16 AM.
She is said to be around 5'6" and weighs 125 lbs. She was last seen wearing grey pants, a white dress shirt, light blue Nike windbreaker, and a blue sweater. She was also seen carrying a grey Nike backpack. Police say they are concerned for her safety.
Then today, the Toronto Police also released another missing person report that highlights a missing case that occurred on the same road. On Saturday, May 4, 2019, at around 4 PM, 14-year-old Heilyn Reyes Lopez was last seen around 4 PM in the McCowan Road and Progress Avenue area.
According to the release, she was on the phone at the time, saying that she would be heading towards the Scarborough Town Centre. That is the last time she was heard from. Police have stated that they are also concerned for her safety.
Lopez is described as 5'2" and often wears her dark brown hair in a bun. She was last seen wearing white jeans, black and white Adidas sweatshirt, and black running shoes. Police advise that she also has a recognizable mole on her left ear.

Both teens were last seen on McCowan Road, but Toronto Police have not yet stated that there is any connection between these two cases.
The Police have released photos of both girls in hope to get the public's assistance in locating either girl or getting any information on where they were last seen. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Toronto Police immediately.
