Video Footage Tragically Captures A Woman Trying To Jump Off An Ontario Highway After Getting In To A Collision (Video)

I’ve never gotten in a car crash in my lifethankfully, but if I did, I know for a fact I would freak out and panic. There's always a concern that you've harmed or seriously injured someone after a really bad accident, or even worried about the legal implications that might amount from the crash.

However, one woman one woman driving along the Gardiner highway in Toronto recently responded to a car accident in a very different way.  The woman who many are saying was in shock from the crash attempted to jump from the elevated highway.

In a video posted online this weekend showed  footage of a crash that happened on the Gardiner expressway in Toronto. A white car slams into the back of another vehicle in what appears to be a scary but common highway fender bender.

The driver of the car that was hit then gets out of her car, seemingly unhurt from the accident.

The driver of the white car also gets out apparently uninjured but very visibly upset, jumping up and down on the spot a few times.

And then things get scary.

As you can see in the video above, the driver of the white car makes a dash for the railing on the side of the overpass and tries to climb over it in an attempt to jump off onto the concrete, which must be at least 50 feet below.

The driver of the car that was hit grabs her and manages to stop her from jumping as other cars stop and drivers rush to help.

The whole thing is alarming but the woman was prevented from jumping and cooler heads seemingly prevailed with everyone standing around talking next the scene of the accident.

Which is good because this could have ended very differently had other not rushed to the aid of the understandably shaken up driver.

If you or anyone you know have is struggling with any of the above mentioned topics or having thoughts on harming themselves, please reach out to a trusted peer, parent or councellor.
