It's no secret that the rent situation in this city has gotten a little out of hand. Considering that some people are asking for some serious bank for their "1 bedroom + bath" that is the size of your current closet. Though, what you get for how much you are prepared to pay definitely differs depending on the neighbourhood you are looking to move into.
From St. Lawrence Market and trendy Kensington Market to venturing more into the downtown core or Yorkville, it doesn't take more than a few hours of apartment hunting to realize that finding a nice place in a decent neighbourhood for cheap is a pretty tall task.
Regardless of whether you are actually apartment hunting or just curious as to what $1700 monthly could get you around the city, we've got seven apartments from seven neighbourhoods to show you how far approximately $1700 a month can get you in Toronto!
