You Can Now Order Restaurant Meal Kits And More In Toronto With SkipTheDishes

With the same contactless delivery.

Remember when we used to get dressed up in jeans and stuff and meet up for a bite? It feels like such a distant memory. Needless to say, the current situation has completely transformed the way we do everything and anything, including how and where we eat.

Our experience with food delivery apps like SkipTheDishes has changed, too. No longer just a treat or tool of convenience, it now helps all of us keep up with social distancing.

For most of us, grabbing a bite takeout-style has probably become a weekly (or nightly) ritual at this point, which is why it's so cool to see some of Canada's top restaurants offering produce packages, baking supplies, food kits, and grocery bundles online.

Whether for one, two, or an entire family, places like Lone Star, Scaddabush, and Jack Astor’s are offering some of their most delish meals in make-it-at-home meal kit form, courtesy of SkipTheDishes.

Lone Star, for example, is selling their Tequila Mar-Go-Ritas margarita mixer kits, complete with marg mix, salt, and tequila for under $30. They even have a virgin version available for $15.

No worries if you’re not a margarita type of person: they also have Caesar kits, which not only come with Mott’s Clamato (a Caesar staple!) but also their signature Caesar mix and a bottle of vodka.

Scaddabush — a staple for Italian eats served in a warm, friendly atmosphere— is offering meal kits so you can build your own pizzas, pasta, and more. And they even have grocery boxes filled with frozen meats and seafood, so you can feast right at home.

There's also a movie night-themed snacking bundle with chips and other snacks, so you don’t even have to leave your house to feel like you’re at the theatre!

Jack Astor’s also has groceries and meal kits to offer. They’ve got a DIY Nacho Kit for 4, which will let you experience their famous nachos from the comfort of your own home, plus à la carte grocery items like drinks, noodles, quinoa, sugar, oil and other essentials.

Our world for sure looks way different from how it did just a couple of months ago, but these restaurants (and so many more!) along with SkipTheDishes are really cranking it up a notch with their food delivery game. And, honestly, that at least helps us to feel like we can move forward in this new reality.
