You Can Ride This 1-km Mountain Coaster To The Top Of Blue Mountain

Who says you can't ride roller coasters in the winter? At Ontario's Blue Mountain Resort, you can luge down a sweet track located high up in the sky.
The Ridge Runner is a mountain coaster that follows a one-kilometre path along Blue Mountain's slopes. Riders can take the coaster up to the top, then rapidly descend downhill on the track. The ride reaches speeds of up to 42 km/h, and riders will have full control of the vehicle.
Along the way, you'll be treated to some of the most breathtaking sights of the surrounding Collingwood greenery, full of snow-covered hills and trees. The ride is simple, equipment-free and suitable for ages 3+ (and 40 inches tall); however individuals younger than 16 years old must ride with an adult.
This year, the Ridge Runner is in operation year round, 7 days a week, weather permitting. During that period, visitors can hop on the track every Friday and Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm, and every Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm.
One full ride on the Ridge Runner costs $13 for youth and $16 per adult. A 10% discount will also be applied when 4 or more passes are purchased.
