As many people are aware, wanderlust means 'a strong desire to travel'. Travelling is probably one of the best things about life. A new adventure, new place, new people- they all get the soul going. The experiences you encounter while travelling are unlike any other and something we all really need more of in our life.

Unfortunately, travelling can be really expensive. Most places, are really cheap to stay and spend money in, but the real kicker is usually the flights. Some flights can range up to $3000 or more round trip and that's enough for anyone to not fly anywhere and stay put.

The fortunate thing though is that there is an app for everything. Genius minds have come up with many apps that will aid your wanderlust and help you find the cheapest flights to wherever your heart desires!

Skyscanner

Rated: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Personally, this is an app that I have used many times. You're able to see the prices from various travel dates within the travel time that you've set. Additionally, if you have no clue as to where you want to go, you can easily find multiple destinations within the travel dates you've set by hitting the 'explore' option.

Kayak

Rated: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Another app that I am a frequent user of, Kayak allows you to not only find cheap flights, but hotels and cars too. If you don't want to book a flight right away, you can set an alert which allows for you to track the price! You can also track your flight once you book it to see any delays or if it is on time. It's super efficient and easy to use.

Himpunk

Rated: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Although I have never used this app myself, I have read some great things about it- seeing as it is rated 4.7 stars on the iOS app store! After you select your destination and time frame, the app lists all the options, plus allows for you to see where else you can book the flight and compares the prices.

Momondo

Rated: ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This app is the definition of 'easy to use'. You simply search where you want to go and it does the rest for you. It lists all the prices, flights, dates and more after you hit search, including the airlines easily visible. Furthermore, it will tell you when the cheapest time to travel it is with a easy to read bar graph chart.

Kiwi

Rated: ⭐⭐⭐

Ever book a flight, get to the airport, clear security and then get told the flight is delayed, making you miss your connecting flight if you have one or straight up cancelling your flight? Nothing is worse than that very moment and more times than not you get stranded with no money back. Kiwi not only helps you find all the cheap flights that are possible, they also give you a guarantee to help cover the costs of the expected!

Airfarewatchdog

Rated: ⭐⭐⭐

With an easy to use interface, this app is a top one for sure. You're able to set your city, favourite routes and with the set alerts you will always be updated on the cheapest flight from your city or for your favourite destination. After that, you simply are able to select your flight from the various booking sites it lists for you.

Hopper

Rated: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Once again an app that I have used, mainly for travels to Europe, but nonetheless a great app for many locations. The feature I think sets it apart from others is that is tracks the analytics to a point where it predicts when your chosen flight will be cheapest, and will either tell you to book right away or to wait.

Corner

Rated: undetermined.

This app takes filters to great heights (see what I did there??). You're of course able to find the cheap flights your heart desires, but you can also just put in a price range, or date you want to travel and the app will list the destinations according to that. It will list is alphabetically, by price- whatever floats your boat!

Fareness

Rated: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

According to 'CheatSheet.Com' this is "the best app for spontaneous travelers." You're able to search options that can be anywhere from the place you want to travel to or the type of vacation you want to take and let the app come up with the places for you!
