Don’t forget your mask when flying! Figures obtained by CTV News show that almost 1,000 flights in Canada have carried passengers who had COVID-19.

The data, which comes from the Public Health Agency of Canada, shows that more than 370 domestic flights had at least one COVID-19 positive passenger, and around 600 international flights carried people with the illness.

Between February 4 and August 24, almost 1,000 travellers on flights into or within Canada were confirmed to have COVID-19.

Possible exposures during flights have been recorded in cities like Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Calgary, Vancouver and more.

Some Canadian passengers are now getting slapped with hefty fines for refusing to wear masks or face coverings while travelling on planes.
