There's pretty much nothing that says summertime is here more than colourful flowers in bloom around every corner. But the most beautiful flowers to see in the summer are definitely sunflowers.
The town of Sundridge, Ontario is hosting their amazing sunflower festival again this year and we couldn't be more excited.
The Sundridge Sunflower Festival will be taking over the town on August 10th this summer. Sundridge is just north of Huntsville, Ontario and is just under a 3-hour drive from Toronto, just over 4 hours from Ottawa, and 4 hours from London.
Last year's festival had a great turn out so they're very excited for the 2019 edition of the event. You can wander down their main street that will be filled with over 150 vendors, enjoy live music, watch an adorable dog show, enjoy delicious food and so much more.
The festival plans a full day of activities starting at 9:30 am for their opening ceremony on the main street and ending at 11 pm with their street dance party.
The best part about this festival is that it's completely free to enter! You'll have to pay for whatever goods or food you want to buy there but that will definitely be worth it.
Check out their website for more information.
