Staying in a treehouse is probably one of the most unique ways to spend a weekend getaway. Sure, finding a regular cabin by the water would be much easier but where's the fun in that? Treehouses bring out the inner child in all of us and there are actually way more nearby than you might think!
There's a luxury treehouse chalet called the Treehouse Village Inn and you definitely need to add it to your summer bucket list this year! You'll have to drive across the border to Vermont to get there but it's totally worth the road trip.
Treehouse Village Inn is located in South Newfane, Vermont which is just over a 6-hour drive from the Ontario border in Niagara Falls and 5 hours from the border near Cornwall. It's not too far of a drive for a weekend road trip out of Ontario no matter which side of the province you're coming from.
This adorable cabin in the trees comes with a private pond with a fountain, a waterfall, an outdoor bar, and a private campfire area! There's also a bed & breakfast service on the property where each guest receives a made-to-order breakfast for each day of their stay included in the cost.
The treehouse fits 2 guests comfortably so it's perfect for a weekend away with your S/O, BFF or a family member. There's a Queen sized bed, a large window with a view of the pond, a wraparound deck so you can enjoy your morning coffee outdoors and there can be room added for 2 extra guests on cots if you want to bring a group!
There's an inn nearby on the property that guests also have access to during their stay which has a pool table, a living room and a dining room. It costs $433 per night to rent the treehouse and dates for summer are going fast!
