With the beautiful summer season heading our way comes sunshine, flowers blooming and grass on the ground, what more could we ask for?  If you're starting to plan ahead and are thinking of fun ways to take advantage of the spring and summer weather this year, lazy river tubing should be at the top of your list!

I recently wrote about a canyon just across the border where you can go on a lazy river tubing adventure but there's actually a similar one right here in Ontario! Ontario's lazy river float is the perfect adventure for summer.

Take a road trip just 1.5 hours outside of Ontario to the adorable town of Elora, Ontario and you'll find the stunning Elora Gorge! This is the best place for lazy river tubing in the entire province.

The Elora Gorge is an expansive gorge with a beautiful river that flows between towering cliffs through a lush forest. It's a popular spot in the summer months because of all the hiking trails, fishing spots, and water activities that draw people in.

But the best spring and summer activity is definitely their lazy river tubing because all you have to do is bring your bathing suit, hop in a tube, and float down a refreshing river taking in the scenes of nature around you! Usually, their lazy river tubing starts opening on weekends in May and early June but come late June you can go any day of the week.

You don't have to worry about bringing your own equipment either because everything is available to rent on-site. Deposits are required for the equipment which costs $10 for helmets, $10 for life jackets, and $15 for the inner tubes and there's also a tubing registration fee of $10. You will also have to pay for the daily admission fee of $7 for the Elora Gorge itself.

Tubing will run every day from late June until the beginning of September from 9 am until 7 pm but the equipment can't be rented after 5 pm.
