You Can Ride Dune Buggies Along This Forest Trail In Ontario
A unique woodland adventure.
If you and your friends are looking for some incredible thrills, you've gotta explore Ontario's woodland trails via an exciting dune buggy adventure!
Windrift Adventures is a company that focuses on awesome outdoor experiences and offers a selection of unique activities for every season. Starting out as a dogsled kennel in 1993, they have since added other attractions to their repertoire, including horseback riding and, of course, off-road dune buggy escapades.
The company operates in two locations across the province: Horseshoe Valley (30 minutes north of Barrie) and Moonstone. They run the only dune buggy facility in Ontario, so it's perfect for adrenaline-junkies seeking a unique activity.
In July and August, from Wednesday to Sunday, guests can partake in a one- or two-hour dune buggy escapade through the thick of a Carolinian forest. After an orientation and practice session, riders will shred through mud and dirt as they blitz past fields, trees, and rocks. All riders must be at least 16 years of age with a valid G1 license, or 18 years of age, to drive a dune buggy.
The adventure options are as follows:
- 1 hour: $150/buggy
- 2 hours: $250/buggy
Windrift Adventures will be running dune buggy adventures this summer. For more information, visit the company's official website.
