One of Canada's most epic attractions is a biking trail that crosses over an old canyon that towers 1,250 metres above the ground.
The Myra Canyon is one of the most beautiful places to explore in British Columbia. Located just south of the town of Kelowna, the canyon offers some of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding Okanagan landscape and is a popular destination for locals to visit in the summertime.
Perhaps the best way to experience those views is on a bike. You can rent a bike on site and take the 12-km journey along the canyon trail to see all the sights.
As you pedal along, you'll ride through two tunnels and as many as 18 trestle bridges, making for an exhilarating cycle experience.
The entire circuit, which is partially interactive, takes a total of four hours to complete at a moderate pace. There are various spots throughout the trail to stop for breaks and take photos as well, so you don't have you rush your way through the trail.
This year, the Myra Canyon trail will reopen on May 17, 2018 with bike rentals available for the season.
Myra Canyon Bike Rentals, the only bike provider on-site, also offers guided tours for groups of 2 people or more. These can be booked online and include transportation to and from the canyon.
