This Canadian Street Is Like Something Out Of A Christmas Movie And It’s So Magical

Found the location for the next Christmas Prince movie!

Its official—Canada is the most Christmassy country in the world! There are so many amazing things to see and do in our beautiful country around the holidays, but there’s one place in particular that stands out as the most magical.

Old Quebec City is probably the most enchanting place in Canada around Christmas. It’s basically a fairytale setting in real life! Once you’re inside the walls of the Historic District of Old Québec, one of Canada’s few UNESCO world heritage sites, you’ll be captivated by the European style architecture. Some buildings and structures date back to the 17th century.

The Rue du Petit Champlain in the Quartier Petit Champlain is where you can walk cobblestoned streets dusted with snow. Holiday window displays, lights and decorations come together to make a scene so perfect that it looks even better than a Hollywood movie. Not even a seasoned Hallmark films professional set designer could put together this look!

You won’t find much in the way of holiday hustle and bustle here so you can really enjoy the old-world charm and Christmas vibes. This neighbourhood really embraces the season and goes all out decorating with Christmas trees, fairy lights, garlands and more!

The boutiques and restaurants in the Quartier Petit Champlain are open seven days a week and include ateliers, artisans, and art galleries. Even if you finished your Christmas shopping already, you’ll still have fun window shopping and browsing the stores. Nearby, you can take a horse-drawn carriage ride and see the rest of Quebec City in its winter splendour!

Quebec City has been compared to Belle’s provincial village in Beauty and the Beast and the village where Mr. Scrooge lives in A Christmas Carol. I think you can make it the scene of your very own holiday romantic can make it the scene of your own romantic holiday scene that includes a steaming poutine!
