Now and then, Mother Nature loves to play a game of contradictions. If you're a Golden State local, perhaps you've driven by Mount Diabo near San Francisco. But have you ever noticed that this devil-named mountain in California looks like it has a giant Jesus face on it?
Many people think it looks like he's always watching and tbh, it's giving us some serious side-eye vibes.
Given the peak's name, the scenario is pretty ironic. The giant Jesus face takes up the whole side of the mountain!
If you're wondering how you've never seen it before, you're not alone. It's pretty easy to miss. Since you have to be on the road or a distance away to get a good look, a lot of hikers never even know it's there.
Travelers can see the face from Summit Road, as they wind their way up to the trailheads. If you bring your BFF, they can snap those Insta-worthy pics while you drive.
We're not sure what caused the face to appear, but it's certainly worth the trip.
Besides this supernatural-looking phenomenon, there is plenty of fun, recreational activities to do at Mount Diablo.
For lovers of all things plants and botanical gardens, Bancroft is a total dream. There are more than 2,000 cacti and succulents to adore and plenty of worthy photo opportunities.
When you're done getting your plant fix, you can also take a tour to explore historic mining regions dating back to the 1860s.
The sweeping 6,000-acre park offers more than twenty trails to explore, all with lovely forest surroundings. If you ask us, the views from the top are nothing short of spectacular!
Whatever type of trip you're seeking, Mount Diablo (or should we say Jesus?) is the place to be.
