Floridians love to brag about our gorgeous waterways because let’s face it — we have some of the most stunning shorelines in the country. But how can you enjoy those waves when one of those famous Florida thunderstorms comes crashing through town? Or worse: after landing a brutal sunburn? Thanks to a unique Florida bowling alley that will literally blow you out of the water, your weekends and rainy day can still include dreamy ocean views and a bit of fun.

Located in Choctawhatchee Bay just a short drive from the famous Panama City spring break strip, Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl and Grill will immerse you deep beneath the waves in an oceanic setting, where you can go bowling with your whole crew.

The interior has some of the most elaborate decor in the area, with their bowling balls literally glowing bright green to resemble a gator’s eye further adding to the theme.

Each of the twelve lanes has a huge figurehead in the shape of a water creature such as a shark, an alligator, or an octopus. You and your crew might find yourself reaching your hand between a shark’s white teeth just to grab your ball.

Anyone feel like humming the Jaws theme song?

This is an ideal place for a little indoor fun while you booze 'n' bite. Uncle Buck’s has an extensive cocktail menu with a selection of frozen drinks that will make you feel like you never left the beach.

If you still feel like you’re not getting enough of life under the sea, you can even order “The Fishbowl” — an enormous electric blue globe cup filled with boozy goodness.

Is it madness or brilliance?

For beach-lovers who aren’t super into bowling, Uncle Buck's also has an amazing restaurant with classic beach cabana cooking flavors. Items like fried shrimp, calamari and crab cakes will let you munch on the Floridian foods we all know and love.

You can spend the afternoon savoring piles of fried seafood, snapping gorgeous photos under the marine lighting and checking out the funky sea animal figureheads.

Soak up that classic Florida vibe without even stepping outside!

You can hang out at Uncle Buck’s Monday through Saturday between the hours of 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. Sundays in the deep blue sea are also super possible, but watch out for an early closing time at 7 p.m.

The restaurant does not take reservations, so try to get there early for the most complete undersea experience. Submarine-style bowling varies in price, with a one-hour experience costing $32 on weekdays and $37 on the weekend, including Friday.

Whether you’re looking for a cool new hangout spot, a break from the Florida sun, or a rainy day activity, Uncle Buck’s offers the dreamiest way to enjoy the ocean without ever setting foot on the beach.

Did anyone say "strike?"
