Williford Spring is undergoing renovations after incurring damages from Hurricane Michael last year, according to the Northwest Florida Water Management District. Repairs are expected to be completed by February 15, 2020.
The spring has since reopened on weekends as of July 2019, as stated by WJHG Local 7 News. WJHG reported that repairs are done on weekdays to restore the spring for its official reopening in February.
According to Walton Outdoors, Williford Spring's blue hole is a "depression" in the center of the pool where the spring water flows from year-round. Williford Spring connects to nearby Econfina Creek.
Williford Spring has had numerous renovations in the past, including the addition of a railing and steps into the pool, a terrace, and a boardwalk.
